Timber Products
Our wattle forests comprise 80 hectares, which is grown for the domestic pulp/paper market and sold through TWK timber marketing. The bark from the wattle is supplied to NTE where it is used to create tannin for use in the tanning industry.
The rest of the timber is Eucalyptus grown primarily for special poles and the transmission pole market. The remainder of the timber is sold for use in the mining industry or to the pulp market.
The timber is felled and graded by a contractor and then extracted by our own transport. We deliver to market or roadside for transport to markets on the east coast where it is chipped and loaded on to ships bound for Japan, India and China amongst others.
